As we continue to move into the “new normal” it’ll be interesting to see what changes and what stays the same.
At the moment it looks like homeworking is here to stay – there’s been a massive quickening in the roll out of services such as Teams over the past month or so.
For those of us lucky enough to be able to work from home, this will have significant advantages for some and disadvantages for others – the lack of human interaction and contact will be an issue for a large number of people.
There is also going to be either a new austerity or significant tax rises to pay for the disruption that’s been caused. I know our Public Sector clients are braced for more cuts, and changes to the way that they work.
The major change that I can see, is we are all going to need to be flexible – to change the things we do and the way we do them – while needing to change the way that we manage and support our colleagues and wider community.
