Berkshire Lighthouse project:

As a long term, trusted supplier, Beckett Voice and Data were asked by The Royal Berkshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to rapidly deploy telephony services for the new Lighthouse Laboratory in Bracknell on behalf of Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services (BSPS). The Lighthouse laboratories are high throughput facilities dedicated to COVID-19 testing and this particular laboratory is expected to process 40,000 tests per day!

After assesing the customers requirements, we recommended a Unify X5R IP PBX which would integrate seamlesly with the customers existing voice infrastructure. We worked quickly and closely with the customers excellent project team to provide them with a solution which provided the lab with: 100 x new IP telephones, connectivity into the Trusts existing voice/WAN networks, new SIP trunk connectivity and additional data network ports.

There was a high level of urgency with this project, we managed to bring together the required hardware and engineering skills to complete the project to meet the customer deadline. We handed the new system over to the customer in Feburary 2021.
