Following our recent Christmas donation to Dingley’s Promise SEN nursery in Newbury, we had this touching note from Fundraising Manager, Jo Evans
On behalf of everyone at Dingley’s Promise, thank you so much for the wonderful donation that was received in our Newbury Centre this week. How kind of you to think of Dingley’s Promise when distributing the funds that would have been spent on company Christmas cards!
Receiving your gift was a real boost in what is a difficult week. Our centers all re-opened on 4 January and the majority of our children have returned; a very small number are now isolating at home. For these children and their families, we provide a fully remote support service – via Zoom, regular phone calls, emails, Facebook support groups. Children with additional needs have been particularly impacted by the pandemic – Dingley’s is now focusing on providing a wide range of restorative activities to help our children recoup any lost development skills or wellbeing.
We are so appreciative of the support we are receiving from our friends and families and our local communities, so thank you! May I take this opportunity to wish you all the very best for the next few months.
Beckett’s have a personal connection with Dingley’s Promise, whose work is so important to the families who use their services so it’s great to know we have made a small difference in these very challenging times.
