At the beginning of the year the announcement was made that Mitel were to acquire Unify, the UCC and CSS business of the Atos Group.
As an independent partner of both Mitel and Unify providing maintenance and support on the MCD, OSV and OpenScape 4000 ranges we see this as a great opportunity for both companies and their customers. With a combined 75 million users this gives great opportunity for growth. One of the major surprises to me was that Unify will be bringing a larger customer base to the combined company, with 45 million users compared to Mitel’s 30 million.
For you as an end user this provides the ability to benefit from Unify’s new range of OSV products – including the new NGN Contact Centres, Unify phone and hosted offers – while benefitting from the drive and focus that Mitel will bring to the table.
With a full range of solutions from onsite to hosted and Contact Centres the future appears bright for Mitel and Unify customers
